“We can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone.” -Ronald Reagan

Spratx has partnered with ACGC for a very special event this Friday night from 6-10pm. Though we take pride in all of our events, this one holds a special place in our heart– as we get to see just how much art can make a difference. We’re honored to showcase the original artwork of ACGC kids (ages 4-13) and raise mad dollars to support local Austin families that need a little extra love. Come be a part of the difference.

What is AmplifyAustin?

Amplify Austin Day is a 24-hour day of online giving where Central Texas nonprofits promote and raise funds for their organizations via AmplifyATX.org. “In past years, this particular event has raised over $16M in three 24-hour periods, supporting local services and resources that benefit people that live in Central Texas.” Their goal for 2016? 600 local nonprofits participate in order to reach the set goal of $9M. In order to help them reach that goal, SprATX as a collective has partnered up ACGC for a very special exhibit this weekend, where we will be showcasing original art work from ACGC kids and select pieces from SprATX artists. Our goal is to be one of the highest contributors this year for ACGC.

Why donate?

March 8-9th, 2016, is a designated day to celebrate and support nonprofits in Central Texas that make this a better place to live for everyone. “By donating on this special day, our gift made through www.AmplifyATX.org will be “amplified by incentive matching dollars from our generous sponsors.” In addition to fund matching from Amplify Austin sponsors, ACGC will receive an additional match as a St. David’s Partner! (In the past years, all donations to ACGC received close to 50 cents to every dollar.) Keyomi, Age 8

Who is ACGC?

acgc history

Austin Child Guidance Center, a local Texas nonprofit, provides mental health services to underserved children in the Austin area regardless of the family’s ability to pay. Serving over 3,500 clients each year, ACGC provides services for children dealing with: depression, anxiety, abuse, ADHD, bullying and trauma. Childhood behavioral health issues can have detrimental consequences on children and our community, resulting in academic failure, substance abuse, poverty into adulthood and juvenile delinquency. For 65 years, ACGC has been fully dedicated to their mission: to improve the metal health of children and their families through early intervention, diagnosis, and treatment, in order to help them develop the emotional skills for meeting life’s challenges.

Getting Involved.

Please join SprATX and ACGC this Saturday evening as we collaborate and host Art of Giving, a gallery show created to raise money for the Amplify Austin event benefitting ACGC as a nonprofit. ACGC kids will create custom pieces of art to be auctioned, giving them a chance to take part in the art community while helping benefit their own. This is a night dedicated to celebrating art, community, and giving back, and we want you to be a part of it! All proceeds will be donated to the Austin Child Guidance Center.
